Learn English But Seek Barakah Too.
If you really want to learn and improve your English, I would suggest using more Islamic and beneficial content, and trying to avoid content that may lead you towards sin.
We may have watched countless English movies, yet still struggle to improve our English significantly.
I am not judging anyone here. This is simply a suggestion based on my own reflection.
I watch movies too, but not only for the sake of entertainment. When I do, I try to keep my brain active by absorbing what I can, especially new words, expressions, and ways of communicating.
For instance, I watched the entire Harry Potter series. I would write down anything new or interesting that I thought I could use in everyday conversations.
But through this process, I realised that I need to change my approach. I need to focus more on what truly matters and align what I consume with what I am trying to achieve.
We could start with the translation of the Qur'an, and then move on to Hadith.
Listen to English speeches, Islamic or otherwise, as long as they are about knowledge, wisdom, and valuable things. Listen almost every day. Have sabr. Keep going, keep practising, and always ask Allah to open the way for you.
And most importantly, don't be afraid to make mistakes. "Make" mistakes, that's okay. that is how we learn faster.
Perhaps what we need is not just more content, but content that brings more barakah into our lives.
All languages were created by the Owner of this world, Allah. So we ask Him to grant us understanding and make it easy for us to use language well.
Ask Him sincerely and deeply because we truly want to master a language.
Ask Allah to grant us strength, sabr, resilience, persistence, and optimism.
When we put our trust in Him while continuing to learn and make an effort, Allah will slowly but surely open the doors for us.
For us, it may be difficult. But for Him, nothing is difficult. Never underestimate the power of Allah.
He is the One who opens doors for us—doors to knowledge, understanding, and everything that we seek.
Ameen.
