These lectures are inspired by themes from Subconscious Denied: Why People Resist the Natural Inclination to Worship God Alone by Hend Alsharif and are designed for powerful global da'wah presentations to thoughtful non‑Muslim audiences.
Lecture One:Ladies and gentlemen,
Tonight, I do not wish merely to present information.
I wish to speak to the deepest part of the human being.
Beyond race.
Beyond nationality.
Beyond politics.
Beyond media narratives.
Beyond all labels.
I wish to speak to the human soul.
Every human being carries hidden questions within the heart:
Why am I here?
Why do I suffer?
Why do I fear death?
Why do I feel empty even after success?
What happens after this life?
Does God truly exist?
And if He exists… what does He want from me?
These questions never disappear.
People may silence them temporarily through entertainment, work, money, pleasure, or distractions — but eventually the soul speaks again.
The human soul was created to search.
And perhaps one of the greatest tragedies of modern civilization is that humanity became materially powerful while spiritually starving.
We live in a world overflowing with information…
yet starving for wisdom.
A world connected digitally…
yet disconnected emotionally.
A world obsessed with image…
yet collapsing internally.
Human beings conquered the skies…
but failed to conquer anxiety.
They built luxurious homes…
but many cannot sleep peacefully inside them.
They gained millions of followers online…
yet still feel lonely.
Why?
Because the human soul cannot be satisfied merely through material success.
The body may survive without truth.
But the soul cannot.
Islam explains this reality with extraordinary clarity.
Islam teaches that every human being is born with an inner recognition of the Creator.
This natural spiritual awareness is called "Fitrah."
The Fitrah is not blind emotion.
It is not cultural conditioning.
It is an inner compass placed by the Creator Himself within every human soul.
That is why throughout human history, people instinctively turn toward God during moments of fear, helplessness, and desperation.
When the plane shakes violently…
When the doctor says, "There is nothing more we can do"…
When the ship begins sinking…
When death approaches…
The human being suddenly becomes sincere.
At that moment:
Wealth cannot save us.
Technology cannot save us.
Status cannot save us.
Fame cannot save us.
The soul turns naturally toward the Creator.
This reality itself is powerful evidence.
Why does the human being instinctively cry out to God during danger?
Why does the atheist suddenly pray in moments of terror?
Why does the soul search upward during crisis?
Because deep inside, the soul recognizes its Creator.
Dear respected audience,
Islam presents a concept of God that is pure, majestic, rational, and spiritually satisfying.
Allah is not part of creation.
Allah does not become weak.
Allah does not become human.
Allah does not die.
Allah does not need rest, food, sleep, or protection.
Allah is eternal.
The One who created galaxies.
The One who created oceans.
The One who created time itself.
The One who created the human heart and knows every hidden fear within it.
Islam removes confusion about God.
Many people throughout history became spiritually exhausted because they inherited complicated theological ideas that the heart struggles to reconcile and the mind struggles to understand.
But Islam restores clarity.
One Creator.
One ultimate source of power.
One source of mercy.
One source of truth.
No intermediaries.
No inherited sins.
No divine confusion.
Dear friends,
One of the most remarkable things about Islam is that it speaks simultaneously to the intellect and the soul.
The Qur'an repeatedly calls humanity to think.
It asks:
Who created the heavens and the earth?
Who controls life and death?
Who sends rain?
Who created conscience?
Who created love?
Who created mercy?
Who created beauty?
Who created morality?
Who created the laws governing the universe?
The Qur'an never fears sincere questioning.
Because truth never fears investigation.
In fact, one of the strongest signs of truth is consistency.
The universe operates according to astonishing order.
The planets move with precision.
The human body functions with breathtaking complexity.
Every system points toward intelligent design.
Order does not come from chaos.
Design does not come from randomness.
Purpose does not come from accident.
If we discovered a sophisticated machine in the desert, nobody would claim it assembled itself by chance.
So how can the infinitely more complex human being exist without a Creator?
Dear audience,
Islam also addresses one of humanity's greatest emotional needs:
peace.
Not temporary excitement.
Not entertainment.
Not distraction.
But genuine inner peace.
Modern society often confuses pleasure with peace.
Pleasure is temporary.
Peace is deeper.
Pleasure depends on circumstances.
Peace depends on the condition of the soul.
A wealthy person may possess luxury yet suffer internally.
A famous person may be admired publicly yet cry privately.
A successful person may smile externally while collapsing emotionally.
Islam explains why.
Because true peace begins when the soul reconnects with its Creator.
This is why prayer in Islam is not merely ritual.
It is spiritual healing.
Five times every day, the believer disconnects from the chaos of the world and reconnects with Allah.
The believer places his forehead on the ground — not in humiliation — but in liberation.
Liberation from ego.
Liberation from arrogance.
Liberation from slavery to wealth, fame, desire, and people.
The Muslim bows only to the Creator.
What dignity there is in that.
Dear respected listeners,
Islam transformed some of the harshest societies in history into civilizations of learning, justice, compassion, and discipline.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ transformed hearts before transforming societies.
He taught:
Feed the poor.
Protect the weak.
Honor parents.
Respect women.
Speak truthfully.
Control anger.
Forgive others.
Care for neighbors.
Show mercy to animals.
Stand firmly for justice.
These teachings elevated human civilization.
And perhaps this is why Islam continues growing globally despite enormous misinformation, attacks, stereotypes, and misunderstandings.
Because truth possesses a power that falsehood cannot extinguish.
Dear friends,
The greatest journey is not the journey across countries.
It is the journey toward truth.
Tonight, I invite you:
Read the Qur'an sincerely.
Study the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ honestly.
Ask difficult questions fearlessly.
Search not with arrogance… but with sincerity.
Because the soul was created to recognize truth.
And perhaps…
the peace your heart has been searching for your entire life…
begins by reconnecting with the One who created you.
Thank you very much.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Humanity today stands at a strange moment in history.
Never before have human beings possessed such technological power.
Yet never before have so many people suffered from emptiness, confusion, loneliness, and anxiety.
We advanced scientifically.
But spiritually, humanity is bleeding.
We can communicate instantly across continents.
Yet many families cannot communicate inside the same house.
We built powerful machines.
But many hearts remain broken.
We achieved material comfort.
Yet millions cannot find inner peace.
Why?
Because human beings solved many external problems while neglecting the greatest reality of all:
the soul.
Islam teaches that human beings are not merely physical bodies.
We possess souls.
And the soul has needs.
Just as the body needs food and water, the soul needs guidance, truth, purpose, and connection with the Creator.
Without this connection, people may survive physically while suffering spiritually.
Dear audience,
One of the greatest evidences of God's existence is the human conscience.
Why do human beings feel guilt after wrongdoing?
Why does injustice disturb us?
Why does compassion move us?
Why does sacrifice inspire us?
Because morality points toward a higher source.
If life were merely random chemistry, then concepts such as justice, mercy, dignity, and morality would have no ultimate meaning.
But human beings instinctively recognize right and wrong.
This moral awareness itself points toward the Creator.
Islam teaches that Allah created human beings with both freedom and responsibility.
Life is not meaningless.
Life is a test.
Every blessing is a test.
Every hardship is a test.
Every moment matters.
And one day every human being will stand before the Creator.
This reality gives life meaning.
Without accountability, power becomes corruption.
Without accountability, greed dominates society.
Without accountability, oppression spreads.
But when people know they will answer before God, morality gains powerful meaning.
Dear friends,
Islam offers humanity a balance rarely found elsewhere.
It balances:
the body and the soul,
reason and spirituality,
individual rights and social responsibility,
mercy and justice,
freedom and discipline.
Islam does not ask human beings to abandon the world.
It teaches human beings how to live within the world honorably.
The Qur'an encourages learning, reflection, justice, compassion, and responsibility.
For centuries, Islamic civilization contributed to mathematics, medicine, astronomy, architecture, philosophy, ethics, and education.
But the greatest contribution of Islam is not merely scientific.
It is spiritual.
Islam rescues human beings from slavery to creation.
Many people today worship things without realizing it.
Some worship wealth.
Some worship fame.
Some worship desires.
Some worship status.
Some worship political ideologies.
Some worship people.
Islam liberates humanity from all forms of false worship.
The Muslim worships only Allah.
This creates extraordinary freedom.
Because when a person fears only the Creator, he is no longer enslaved by public opinion, trends, pressure, or status.
Dear respected audience,
One of the greatest misunderstandings about Islam is the belief that Islam spreads through force.
Yet genuine faith can never be forced.
True belief lives in the heart.
Millions of people embrace Islam not because they are pressured — but because they discover clarity, purpose, and peace.
Islam answers the deepest questions human beings ask.
Where did I come from?
Why was I created?
Why do good and evil exist?
What happens after death?
What is true success?
Modern society often avoids these questions because they are uncomfortable.
But avoiding the questions does not remove them.
Death eventually forces every human being to confront reality.
Every rich person dies.
Every celebrity dies.
Every ruler dies.
Every empire disappears.
And then comes the greatest meeting:
the meeting with the Creator.
Islam teaches that this worldly life is temporary — but the soul continues eternally.
Dear friends,
One of the strongest evidences for Islam is the Qur'an itself.
For over fourteen centuries, billions have recited it, memorized it, studied it, and reflected upon it.
The Qur'an transformed illiterate desert tribes into builders of civilization.
Its message continues transforming hearts today across every race and language.
People enter Islam from Christianity, atheism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and secularism because they discover something powerful:
clarity.
The message of Islam is astonishingly simple:
There is only One Creator worthy of worship.
And human beings were created to know Him, worship Him, and live according to His guidance.
Dear respected listeners,
Islam is not against science.
Islam is not against reason.
Islam is not against progress.
Islam simply reminds humanity that material advancement without spiritual guidance eventually leads to destruction.
A society may become technologically advanced while morally collapsing internally.
And perhaps this explains much of modern human suffering.
The world has become rich materially…
but poor spiritually.
Dear audience,
The human heart was never designed to live disconnected from the Creator.
That is why so many people continue searching.
Searching through wealth.
Searching through entertainment.
Searching through relationships.
Searching through ideologies.
Searching through pleasure.
But the soul remains restless until it reconnects with Allah.
Tonight, I invite you sincerely:
Do not judge Islam through headlines.
Do not judge Islam through politics.
Do not judge Islam through extremists.
Judge Islam through the Qur'an.
Judge Islam through the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Judge Islam through sincere study and honest reflection.
Because truth deserves investigation.
And perhaps the greatest decision a human being can ever make…
is the decision to sincerely search for the Creator.
Thank you very much.
